Friends of the Deaf is a North Dakota based mission society with a passion for bringing the Good News of Jesus to the "forgotten deaf" in Cameroon and other developing countries.
The Forgotten Deaf are those isolated by distance, geography, & marginalized socially, with little chance of learning to read, write, or sign unless they receive help.
Founded by Rev Michael Jarrett and his wife Mary, Friends of the Deaf partners with the deaf in developing countries to evangelize, disciple, plant churches, equip church leaders, educate and empower the deaf through education.
Our main emphasis at this time, is working with Lifehouse Deaf School in Obala, Cameroon to build a school building and a residential hall.
