Dr. Andrew Foster School for the Deaf was founded in 2004 as non-profit charity in Cameroon by Andre Christophe B. (The school was originally founded as "The National Evangelical School for Deaf & Blind Children in French)
The purpose of the school is to provide a loving family atmosphere in which the deaf are educated and given opportunity to become productive members of society by learning to read, write and sign. A future goal is to provide vocational training allowing the deaf students to learn how to make a living.
